General Registration InformationUpdated Thursday January 10, 2019 by HYL.
Hilton Youth Lacrosse (HYL) offers separate Boys and Girls teams at 5/6, 3/4 and K-2 grade levels. The Indoor Fall/Winter Season typically runs from mid-October through the end of February. The Outdoor Spring Season runs from early March through early June.
Indoor Fall/Winter Season Registration
Typically opens around Labor Day in September.
Indoor Fall/Winter Season Practices
Held at Total Sports Experience (TSE) in Gates one weeknight per week for one hour for all levels and on Sundays once a week for an hour and a half held at Salmon Creek for Boys 5/6, 3/4 & K-2.
Indoor Fall/Winter Season Games
Held once a week at TSE Friday evenings (Boys 5/6), Saturday afternoons (Boys 3/4 & K-2), or Sunday mornings (Girls K-6).
Outdoor Spring Season Registration
Opens around mid-late January.
Outdoor Spring Season Practices
Begin with 1 or 2 weekly indoor practices until we can transition to outdoor fields. Once fully outdoors, practices are usually held on two weekday evenings along with weekends without a scheduled game. Games are most often scheduled on Saturdays with an occasional Sunday or weeknight. Seasons contain a minimum of 8 established games with an additional one-day local tournament. Individual teams and coaches are encouraged to schedule additional games and tournaments on their own. Registration fees include the cost of one local tournament (date TBD).
We ask that you register as soon as possible once registration is open. The first week of registration is for RETURNING PLAYERS ONLY and the second week will be for all NEW PLAYERS who live within the Hilton School District. In some cases, if there is room on rosters, HYL will accept players who do not live within the district. Due to availability of field space and coaches, we are limited to the number of teams that we can have and the number of kids that we allow to participate on a team. There is a possibility that we could close registration for a specific team prior to closing general registration. We will keep registration open for each age group until we have enough kids to fill the teams we have available. Anyone who tries to register after we close registration for a specific grade/gender will be placed on a wait list.
Optional Equipment Loan Program
Requires a $250 deposit check for Boys (Helmet and Pads) and a $125 deposit check for Girls (Helmet Only). These checks will be returned to you upon return of the equipment in good condition. Please follow the instructions as noted in the on-line registration and look for an upcoming email with equipment handout information.

Each Spring, HYL looks for volunteers to help with field lining and preparation during the season. Fields continuously need to be lined along with the occasional need for mowers when the Village Park maintenance schedule runs behind. These are important tasks, as we must have our fields in proper condition in order to host our home games. Please indicate your willingness to volunteer in the notes section of the registration form or contact email@example.com. Thank you in advance for your help.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. Send any questions to firstname.lastname@example.org and questions will be forward to the appropriate Coordinator for a timely response.
HYL looks forward to encouraging and promoting the growth and development of Lacrosse within our Hilton community!
