Spring 2019 Season Detail

Important Schedule Change for the 2019 Spring Season:

Hilton Youth Lacrosse (HYL) is currently working with other organizations to establish a scheduling replacement for the Rochester Area Youth Lacrosse League (RALL) which has recently dissolved.  As soon as we know the details we will inform all registered HYL families.  For now, our initial plan is for outdoor games to be scheduled primarily on Saturday mornings or early afternoons with the occasional Sunday and/or weeknight. Thank you for your patience as we all work through these changes.

 


 

Registration Opens:

  • January 21st for returning players who previously participated in the Indoor 2018/19 & Spring 2018 seasons.
  • January 28th for new players.

Spring 2019 Fee:

$225 for all levels


What you need to know?

Hilton Youth Lacrosse (HYL) offers separate Boys and Girls teams at 5/6, 3/4 and K-2 grade levels.  The Spring Season runs from March 4th through early June.  Practices will begin with weekly indoor times until we can transition to outdoor fields.  Once fully outdoors, practices are usually held on two weekday evenings along with weekends without a scheduled game.  Games are most often scheduled on Saturdays with an occasional Sunday or weeknight.  Seasons will have a minimum of 8 established games with an additional one-day local tournament.  Individual teams and coaches are encouraged to schedule additional games and tournaments on their own.  Registration fees include the cost of one local tournament (date TBD). Spring 2019 registration fee is a flat $225 for all levels.  There is no longer a mandatory fundraiser raffle fee.  Instead, families are expected to support our Hilton School Boys & Girls Lacrosse fundraisers.  All youth families greatly benefit from our school coaches and players helping with “coaching our coaches”, running clinics, advocating for field space, gym space, meeting rooms, vendors, contacts, etc.  Volunteering their time and knowledge not only ties our Lacrosse community together but also reduced many costs HYL would otherwise incur.

HYL offers a $25 multiple child discount which you can apply during on-line registration.  NEW players must order a jersey for $35 during on-line registration.  If needed, returning players can order new jerseys with the same number.  All players can order OPTIONAL shorts for $25 at registration (any black short can be worn but must be solid black). If paying by check, payment needs to be received by March 1st or registration can be forfeited and a replacement pulled from the wait list.  Arrangements can be made by contacting treasurer@hiltonlacrosse.org

Once registration opens, we ask that you register as soon as possible.  Due to field space and coaching constraints, we are limited to the number of teams that we can offer and the number of kids that we allow to participate on a team.  Registration will close when rosters have reached their full capacity.  Automatic waiting lists are created after a specific grade/gender level closes.  Any questions can be directed to registration@hiltonlacrosse.org

Optional boys’ equipment loaning program requires a $250 deposit check and girls’ helmet loaning program requires a $125 deposit check.  These checks will be returned to you upon return of the equipment in good condition.  Please follow the instructions as noted in the on-line registration and look for an upcoming email with Equipment Handout information.  Specific questions can be directed to: equipment@hiltonlacrosse.org

Each Spring, HYL looks for volunteers to help with field painting and preparation during the season. Fields continuously need to be lined along with the occasional need for mowers when the Village Park maintenance schedule runs behind. These are important tasks, as we must have our fields in proper condition in order to host our home games.  Please indicate your willingness to volunteer in the notes section of the registration link or contact fieldcoordinator@hiltonlacrosse.org.  Thank you in advance for your help.


How to register?

Once at the website, click on the link “Register Online” to begin the registration process.  At this point it will ask you to log in or create an account.  Because you are all returning players, you should have created an account previously so you can go ahead and log in.  If for some reason you need to create an account, follow the steps below:

Creating a new account?

Click "Create Account" and add ALL children playing in HYL to this account.  When adding each child, it will ask you for pertinent information (age, grade, insurance, emergency #, etc.).  Please add this information for each child wanting to be registered.  The good news is; ALL information will be saved for future registrations.

Existing account?

If your account is already created, all you will need to do as a parent is to review that nothing has changed on a yearly basis (Grade level and age will be automatically incremented every year on its own.) or maybe add an additional child to play in this upcoming season.

Once all the child information is entered/reviewed, click the “Register to Participate/Play” link to begin registering each child you just entered. At this point in order for you to continue registering your children, you must have a Participation Code for early registration. IF YOU ARE A RETURNING PLAYER YOU WILL RECEIVE THIS CODE IN THE REGISTRATION E-MAIL.   It should let you through to the next section and allow you to add your child to the correct team.  If you are registering multiple children, there will be a $25 multiple child discount added to your order automatically as you add your 2nd, 3rd, etc. child.  Please verify that the totals are correct before you pay and submit.

Preferred payment method is through the website during the registration process but we do accept checks made out to Hilton Youth Lacrosse and mailed to: Hilton Lacrosse, PO Box 276, Hilton, NY 14468.  Forms may be printed for your personal records but do not need to be mailed. Again, payment by check is due by March 1st.
